Until you press “Accept” — none

The site sets no cookie and contacts Google not at all until you agree. The statistics script is not loaded up front and switched off later — it is not downloaded at all until you click. If you dismiss the banner without accepting, things stay as they are: no cookies.

What is switched on if you accept

Google Analytics, for visit statistics. It sets its own cookies (names beginning with _ga) which last up to two years and serve to avoid counting the same visit twice. We see how many people came, which pages they view, in which language, from which country, and on a phone or a computer.

What we still do not see

Who you are. Google is not given your name, email address or the text of your message — that goes to our mailbox only, and nowhere else.

The one thing stored without consent

Your answer to the banner itself. It is written to your browser’s local storage, not to a cookie, and never leaves your device. Without it the banner would reappear on every page. No consent is required for it, because without it the site cannot honour your decision.

How to change your mind

With the button at the bottom of this page. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it — one click, no forms, no explanation. The banner then reappears and you can choose differently.
